i) assume electric for rock releases. with jazz it's a little tricky,
cos 'bass' general means double bass, but there are jazz bassists who
use electric, to. you can usually tell by listening, though.

you can also get accoustic basses, but you have to be careful as this
can either mean accoustic upright bass (ie, double bass), or accoustic
'normal' bass (ie as acoustic guitar is to an electric guitar).

ii) obviously a discrepancy there! i can't say what would be right - i
would assume the 'all guitars bit' - maybe they just copy and pasted
the 'usual' lineup.

And, I forgot to mention, another couple of issues:

i) if the cover says only 'bass', do I leave it like that, or add
'electric' if the band plays metal? Are there bass guitars that are
not electric in rock?

ii) The same link, [1] (very bottom) says "All guitars played by
Brennare", and then it goes on to the lineup, which includes two
guitarists. What am I supposed to read from that?
