Yes, I will do that :) Thanks - examples are always good things.

Typical releases where this would apply:
http://musicbrainz.org/release/27b2dee9-5a06-49bf-9e44-fb7bc00b95a2.html
http://musicbrainz.org/release/73221c97-8a19-42a0-87d2-ebf052ed7b70.html
http://musicbrainz.org/release/d71df596-bafe-4f9e-ac51-eb0686d409b2.html
http://musicbrainz.org/release/6358d7f1-2cf5-4153-b302-333337d42041.html

Typical releases where this would NOT apply:
http://musicbrainz.org/release/49e2109d-b3f1-400b-8aea-f486355828fd.html
http://musicbrainz.org/release/2667b9db-2d46-4417-acf7-17b43d274a9c.html
http://musicbrainz.org/release/eff7bc35-a164-48d9-9919-ca4760bcdb3e.html

This style would not apply to "Greatest Hits" or "Best of Beethoven"
or "The Best Classical Dinner Music You've Never Heard in Saturday
Morning Cartoons" releases - they usually feature one or two parts
from several different works. Here I think the "Greatest Hits" or
"Best Classical Dinner Music..." title should be used (I think that's
obvious).

This was what I was thinking about when I wrote compilation. But of course,
you understood compilation in the MB sense, which makes sense. So yes, I
completely agree with you.
