How should we handle recordings that differ from the original only in that some or all of the vocals have been removed? This would be the case for both instrumental versions and for karaoke tracks.
It seems rather silly to have separate works, but it also seems silly that the instrumental versions should get a lyricist relationship if they are linked to the single work.
