Our dance, in Burlington, charges $8; 12 years old and under are free.
The dance runs from 8:00 to 11:00, and there is no reduction in price for late
arrival.  In fact we get an average of about 4 people who arrive after 9:30,
I'd guess.
Part of the reason we still charge after 10:00 is because we have someone
sitting there anyway: Germaine Le Clair, age 90, has been taking money at our
door for 25 years (or is it 26?)!  She stays until the end, and enjoys every
minute of it.

Subject: [Organizers] admission price drop?

What is your dance's admission price structure?
Does that admission price drop at any point in the evening?
If so, when (at what point)?
What is the rationale for either (a) dropping the price or (b) keeping the same
price in effect for duration of the entire dance?   (Why do you do what you do?)

We're having a committee conversation about our practice, and I'm curious what
others do and why.

Thanks,
