One of my systems which runs mpd has the sound card on hw:0,0 and the
volume control controls the hardware mixer and works great. Another
system has the sound card on hw:1,0 and the volume control has no
affect on the volume, even though alsamixer works great. Here is that
system's config:
audio_output {
type "alsa"
name "USB DAC"
device "plughw:1,0"
# mixer_type "hardware"
# mixer_device "default"
# mixer_control "PCM"
# mixer_index "0"
}
I've experimented with the commented options above with no success.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
