Hello, The new version of MPD (0.16.1) seems to have some troubles playing .mp3 files here on FreeBSD 8.1.
I was able to play them with the old version 0.15.15, but now the sounds sizzles (if it's the correct word). You can't hear anything only "hchchchhchchchchchchchchchchchc" Is there some changes important in mp3 playback "driver" that may make this noise? Please cc' me since I'm not on the lists.
