The ports should be added in mpd.conf like this:
audio_output {
type "jack"
name "mpd_jack"
ports "brutefir:input-0,brutefir:input-1"
}
Then MPD autoconnects. In MPD 0.15 I can pause without problem.
However, in MPD 0.16 I can pause maybe once or twice but then MPD will hang.
