The most straightforward solution I can think of is to simply load your whole library into the playlist and activate both the "repeat" and "random" options causing MPD to play random tracks from the playlist indefinitely. This solution still requires manual intervention after a library update, but, depending on how you manage your library you might be able to script the addition of new files to the playlist. -- Wieland
