The policy has indeed changed; they've now added a content license
choice that's separate from the code license choice. Options for a
content license include the various Creative Commons licenses as well
as "Create Commons Public Domain Dedication". The latter is a little
wacky at first glance, but apparently (as I'm sure many on this list
are well aware), it's hard to actually relinquish copyright over a
work, requiring some extra legalese to make sure.

So the choice should really come down to whether you prefer svn or git. :-)
