OK, thanks for the workaround.
Really, though, this shouldn't need a workaround. That default mapping is
simply absurd. It's so absurd that it didn't even occur to me to look in
the docs to see if <Space> --- a valid character for folder-names ---
would be mapped, in the menu governing the entry of folder names, to a
function. <buffy-cycle> may as well have been mapped to something in
[A-Za-z].
(This is not to say that <buffy-cycle> should have a mapping, just not to
a character one would want to type in a text input field).
I never make folders with spaces in their names, and nobody should, but
unfortunately Gmail forces some folders to have spaces. Essential
folders, no less. Given the popularity of Gmail now, that means lots of
folks are stuck with a key folder with spaces in the name. Mutt should
eliminate that default mapping, whether or not I'm right about its
craziness.
