#3649: Sorting by 'To: ' does not work right

Comment (by grarpamp):

Hi me. Yes I realize it may appear random to some, yet the email address
is in fact recognized as the base identity (not the 'real name/gecos'
field), at least among more technical users. And I see (and even use) with
some reasonable frequency, people using a generic address and alternating
their name field, whether on purpose, or as a byproduct of using that same
'body-from' address on differently configured systems. Therefore people
will lose track of those mails because they have no way to group them by
body-from (or body-to). Lots of 'Jane Smith's and odd MUA's (with their
variant quote and gt/lt address writing) out there :(

Anyway, since it seems easy, yes, I would support this enhancement.
A single muttrc option that changes the sense of both body-to and body-
 from sorting would be fine.
And to me there seems to be a pretty good case for adding it to the UI so
users can toggle at runtime, such as 'o-t(o)' and 'o-t(O)' for the forward
case, with the reverse case as the usual 'O-'. ie: sort by all 'Jane
Smith's (today's default), or by address identity (enhanced).

Quote stripping... pretty printing in the main UI / msg display is fine of
course, but yeah, I think when in 'h'eader display mode, it should always
be raw/unaltered, as would be seen in any file editor.

I appear to not know how to make trac put that first list of 'to's one per
 line, sorry about that.
