Ideally, yes. The problem is that the functions, mutt_create_filter(_fd),
are used in many places, and I believe we would only want to set
{{{COLUMNS}}} in this one place (for autoview).
We could add a parameter, or an option or something, but it starts to
sound pretty intrusive for a minor enhancement/fix.
