Just to add my 0.02 euro's:

I just started to use mutt I guess for 2-3 weeks now and it's been
more than a breeze to set-up and use and that for someone being spoiled
by first Eudora and later XFMail.

I have not even managed to delete a folder with fetchmail/procmail/mutt,
the combo works like a charm, and I will recommend it to every one of
my FreeBSD using coworkers/mates.

No.

Never happened, not even in my testphases.

I did, I stuck to mutt just because 'it sucks less' than others. Your loss.

I do hope ye bothered to read the manuals and customize things, because
otherwise you were missing out on a lot.

My mailflow of more than 400-500 mails/day works adequately on the combo
fetchmail/procmail/mutt which I set up in less than 4-6 weeks, thankyou.

with regards,
