These seem to be OK, as they should be (on most systems, anyway).

Well, most people don't solve it that way, but I suppose that works too
on a single-user (?) computer. :-)  It could be seen a bit of a security
risk on multi-user systems though.

Generally the idea is to make Mutt setgid mail...  However like I
remarked before, nowadays it's the program mutt_dotlock that does
that part.  Hmm, I just discovered that I don't have mutt_dotlock,
but I guess that's because all my mail is delivered into users' home
directories.

In any case, just use whatever works for you, especially if it's your
own computer with no other users.
