This is somewhat off-topic for mutt... The Return-Path: header is set by the receiving MTA (based on the envelope sender). You can't set the former (but the latter). If your e-mail address is rewritten (masquerading, genericstable, CNAME, ...), then the receiving system may use a different address then the one you specified with -f.
