At least, after figuring out the general availability both of 
 2.3.4.  Miscellaneous Functions and
 6.4 Functions

I managed to insert

<tag-thread><tag-prefix><clear-flag>N<previous-thread><tag-thread>

However, I still wonder how the previous solution works in detail.
