i would suggest you pass in both the regex and the email. that way
you won't have to be editing the script all the time. something like:
$regx = $ARGV[0];
$thingy = $ARGV[1];
if ( $thingy =~ m/$regx/ ) {
print "yes\n";
}
else {
print "no\n";
}
