"if" is generally regarded as a conditional and is never in and of
itself "true" but predicated on meeting certain conditions (in this
case 1,2,3,4)

To add to your list of Q's:

(0) what exactly is a "bullshit detector"?
(0.1) is it worth discussing something even "if" only theoreticly?
(0.2) return to 0?
