First, your mutt must be compiled with debugging enabled (when you run `mutt -v`, look for +DEBUG). Then, run mutt with the flag '-d4'. That will create a file called ~/.muttdebug0 that contains a transcript of everything mutt does, including the full IMAP conversation.
