Sorry if I was unclear. The vast majority of email users, many of whom
are using GMail (or Yahoo or some other popular free email service) do
not care about line wrapping or HTML or even top- versus bottom- or
interleaved-posting. They are simply trying to communicate, and are
able to do so effectively with these tools.

Of course, some people use mutt as an MUA for GMail, but I neglected
to consider that small group. I suppose to be more accurate, I should
have said "mutt users" versus "non-mutt-using GMail users."
