I'm using a recent nightly (20061125-2.4.31) with an H2 unit and Myth 0.19. I didn't think I had any use for the LiveTV option at first, but then I discovered that the feed from my myth box had significantly better quality than delivered by my TV tuner on a few channels - namely, some channels where the cable signal is impaired by ingress of local off-air signals. The 'New LiveTV' function in mvpmc works great - for a while. Some random length of time after starting, typically a half hour to an hour, the video suddenly freezes. At this point, the MVP becomes unresponsive - only the power button works, causing mvpmc to restart, but it can no longer communicate with the myth server. Meanwhile, on the server I find that mythbackend is still running, but using nearly 100% of the CPU and needs a restart. Nothing much in the mythbackend log file except several of these:
