It takes three minutes and fifty seconds from the time I select reboot on
the welcome screen until I see the welcome screen again.  Most of this time
it displays the "Loading Application" bar.  It wouldn't bother me so much
except for the fact that it's also displaying the bright red Hauppauge logo
on the screen during this time.  I have a projection TV and I have fears of
it burning in after a while.    

If you don't mind, could you time your reboot next time and let me know how
long it takes.  I may just be impatient.  

I also looked at the error I get with the New Live TV item.  It says "It is
taking unusually long to initiate live TV.  Most likely this means that
mvpmc cannot resolve the backend's hostname.  Either run DNS or add the
backend to mvpmc's /etc/hosts file."  It's funny because I don't remember
ever giving a hostname for the backend.  I only use the IP address, because
I don't have any sort of DNS running on my local network.
