LVM on software raid may take its toll, though. I have 6 RAID's over 3-4 drives, all together in a volume group, and then split up from there. I'll have to check back at a time when I don't have any or maximally one recording running on myth. See how it works then. But as said, the box is not really optimized - no need for that, until now.
