I'm not really up-to-date on the video standards but I didn't think
the 480p really defined the audio type.  Have you confirmed that the
audio track is mpeg-2 and you are using 30 fps?  If so, I think it
should work, and maybe the capture software isn't writing the proper
time encoding information.   If there's any way you could make a
minute video sample available, I'd love to have look at it.   I've
just got buy myself an HDHomeRun so I can do this myself.
