I think its enumerating the shows in order from oldest to newest. So I watched a few seconds of the last recording listed in order to identify it. Then I looked in MythWeb to see what the next recorded program would have been.
As for the file size, I had a couple movies recorded from my analog tuner that were over 4GB and didn't have a problem. As an aside, all of the shows I've recorded off of my HD tuner (so far) have come in with smaller file sizes than the same length show recorded off the analog tuner.
