I stumbled upon a bug which produced very similar results to this
yesterday whilst implementing some changes to try to alleviate a lot of
the other audio sync issues. A buffer that was should have been emptied
before a seek is performed wasn't being emptied. I've now resolved this
bug and I *think* it's probably what was causing your problems too.

Anyway, these changes should now be in the latest nightly build. There
should hopefully also be some fixes for some of the other cases of audio
not re-syncing after a seek. Give it a spin and let me know if it's
helped.

Your fast forward problems sound like they're down to simply not being
able to get the network throughput. When you go into fast forward the MPEG
file will need to be delivered to the MVP at twice the speed it normally
is (since the video is running at twice the speed). For a while you may
find things are okay as MVPMC takes video from its internal buffers, but
once these have been emptied you're reliant on the amount of throughput
the MVP can get out of the network. The mvpmc isn't very good at reading
lots of data off a network, and it may be that your video data rate is
simply too high for lengthy fast-forwarding.
