For what it's worth I've pushed those changes to the mainline, so they 
should be in the nightly builds too.

I suspect this may just be the same old problem which the JIT code was 
trying (and failing) to correct for. If there's a corruption (usually 
video) in the original file (maybe because there was a glitch in the 
off-air reception) then the MVP usually looses sync like this. I'd be 
fairly sure that the if you ran the dodgy file through an old (pre-JIT) 
dongle I think you'd be likely to find the same problems in the same 
places.
