Yes, it's a known problem that several people, including myself, have
reported.

I first mentioned it in this thread:

with speculation that the cause is memory fragmentation or just running 
out of memory when loading large lists of shows.

Really? In my observation it seems to fully recover after a soft 
restart. It seems to take only a few operations before things slow down 
again, though I haven't done a close comparison between soft and hard 
restarts. It's certainly possible that a soft restart doesn't free up as 
much memory.

What's your basis of comparison? The amount of time it takes before you 
start seeing slow behavior? Or is the UI partially sluggish immediately 
after a soft restart?
