This sounds like either a share permissions issue or a problem with
accented characters.
I have lots of m3u's and pls files mixed with other files.  I don't
know if you know but there is an option Menu Play All to avoid a
general m3u file.

You can do this via the web interface and when you save your settings
will be in /etc/browser.config   Find some way to recreate this from a
share with a copy or symbolic link and you should be set.
