I fixed this in the git repository on the 19th of February (see

The host build is only really any use for development work (it isn't able
to produce any audio or video out of a PC). All development work should
really be done off the git repository, not off release tarballs, otherwise
you'll find it much harder to generate/submit patches any other way, and
we'd find it much harder to accept/apply any patches that aren't generated
by git.
