Yeah, powerline networking finally started working pretty well for me once I
upgraded to the Linksys PLK200.  I'm now topping out at around 27 Mb/s,
although sometimes it's lower.  Also, I have to reboot the MVP about once a
day when things get choppy.  However, when I consider how much work it would
take to create a wired connection, I'm happy with the purchase.

Also, I've been playing around with different formats in Kino and Avidemux.
My favorite codec so far is h264, and I usually try to create
"medium-quality" files (according to the presets).  It's not perfect, but
it's still looks better than VHS to me, and that's pretty much my goal right
now when you consider that my media server is so under-powered.
