AFAIK the wireless MVP is the same as the newer non-wireless MVP, it uses 
the same PCB. The only difference is that it's got a Compact Flash socket 
soldered onto the board Wireless CF card inserted into it. Hauppauge even 
seem to supply stickers indicating what the wireless MAC address would 
have been had you bought a wireless model.

So basically, unless you intend to use the wireless functionality there 
really is no point at all in buying the Wireless one.

Any dongle from version 0.3.0 onwards should run on both old and new 
hardware.

Really? What issues are you having? There shouldn't be anything preventing 
newer dongles from running on the old rev. of hardware (my MVP is the old 
rev. and works fine with the latest dongles).

It'll run them just as correctly as your old hardware does.

There's very little difference between the 2 hardware releases apart from 
methods of getting them to boot up in the first place.
