AFAIK it was only ever the old wired MVP which wasn't RoHS compliant (ie
contained too much lead), which is why that disappeared off the EU market
for about 6 months at the beginning of 2007. A european version of the new
style ("H3" series) wired MVP has been available since the middle of
2007, and the one I bought last year certainly had stickers on it
indicating it was RoHS compliant.

I see no reason that a UK/German MVP shouldn't work in Sweden/Scandinavia.
If you don't use SCART then you can always get a SCART break-out lead to
give you individual RCA/phono connections.

The most difficult bit may actually be finding a retailer who will ship
outside the UK/Germany, simply because a lot of them can't be bothered
with the hassel/potential increased fraud from shipping abroad.

Cheers,

Simon
