Try searching the list archives for that phrase. It was mentioned recently. I think someone using a wireless link said they were seeing that. What version of MythTV are you running? What are you using for tuner(s)? > This is what I see starting the application from a telnet into the box: > > # mvpmc -o composite -s 192.168.1.4 -u mythtv -p c7654321 -T mythconverg > -y 192.168.1.4 Have you tried the default mvpmc boot - no custom start script (dongle.bin.config)? You can browse and playback MythTV shows without a database connection. You might need to set the address of the MythTV server from the settings menus. > connecting to mythtv (slave) backend 127.0.0.1 > > I am confused about the "connecting to mythtv (slave) backend 127.0.0.1" > line when the myth backend is on 192.168.1.4? That does seem odd that it is trying to connect to the loopback port. I don't think mvpmc uses any sort of a proxy server running on the MVP. So that might suggest that a needed IP address isn't getting communicated to mvpmc. Try starting it with just: mvpmc -s 192.168.1.4 What is the content of your /etc/udhcpc.config file on the MVP? -Tom ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
