Try searching the list archives for that phrase. It was mentioned 
recently. I think someone using a wireless link said they were seeing that.

What version of MythTV are you running?
What are you using for tuner(s)?

Have you tried the default mvpmc boot - no custom start script 
(dongle.bin.config)? You can browse and playback MythTV shows without a 
database connection. You might need to set the address of the MythTV 
server from the settings menus.

That does seem odd that it is trying to connect to the loopback port. I 
don't think mvpmc uses any sort of a proxy server running on the MVP. So 
that might suggest that a needed IP address isn't getting communicated 
to mvpmc. Try starting it with just:

mvpmc -s 192.168.1.4

What is the content of your /etc/udhcpc.config file on the MVP?
