I've complained a bit about live tv and ntp settings not working in the
thread I started regarding "resume?", but I'm beginning to think there is
something completely wrong in my setup, so I thought I'd start a new thread
instead to try and keep thing on-topic...
In short I'm beginning to wonder if my config file is even loading...
1) When I boot, the time is not set. If I go via the web server, the
timezone is set correctly, but I have to set the ntp server manually.
2) In /var/log/messages of my tftp server I get this:
Jul 9 18:18:10 localhost in.tftpd[25728]: RRQ from
*192.168.1.61*<http://192.168.62.61/>filename dongle.bin.ver
Jul 9 18:18:10 localhost in.tftpd[25729]: RRQ from
*192.168.1.61*<http://192.168.62.61/>filename dongle.bin
Jul 9 18:18:41 localhost in.tftpd[25728]: tftpd: read(ack): Connection
refused
Jul 9 18:18:45 localhost in.tftpd[25729]: tftpd: read(ack): Connection
refused
There are no log entries for dongle.bin.config.
What I find strange is that even though the log has these "connection
refused" it seems to load the newest dongle.bin I installed? Is it normal to
have connection refused like that?
It also finds my Myth backend and allows me to watch recordings.
Would this be possible if the config isn't loading?
My config file looks like this:

echo "export TZ" >> /etc/shell.config
NTP=pool.ntp.org

mythconverg -c 192.168.1.110
How can I check if the config is loading, and if it is, what should I do
to set the time and maybe add my myth backend to the /etc/hosts file of the
MVP (that is what live tv complains about)?
