Mike,

It all seems to work now, with the OSD disappearing after a few seconds.
One thing I've noticed when setting the bookmark is that the bookmark is
actually set when the OSD disappears, not when it appears.  Not sure whether
this was intentional or not, but I had assumed that when the OSD said "New
bookmark set" that the bookmark had aleady been set!
