Are you using inetd to start and stop your tftpd? I followed the directions at -- https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MythTV/MediaMVP_Frontend I think it is started by -- sudo invoke-rc.d atftpd start I later looked up instructions at -- http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-setup-advanced-tftp-server-in-ubuntu.html/comment-page-1#comment-6327 I think the command to start is -- sudo invoke-rc.d atftpd start Sounds like a good idea but I am not sure how to do this. Could you point me to a site or suggest some key words to search for?I'd recommend verifying that you can download the mvpmc software with a tftp client running on another system before trying to get it working on the MVP itself. The second site I gave has a test to transfer a small file but I am not sure how to setup a client to request the file and since I am getting the port 69 error I thought I should at least wait to clear that up. Is there a program to show what other programs are using ports so I can track down this port 69 error? I am new at this mailing list type forum. Should I just reply to this email or go on line?
