This links to a video in German, titled "Hauppauge MediaMVP-HD: HD-Fernsehen live über WLAN streamen." I gather that's an HD MVP with wireless LAN streaming. It shows our familiar remote control and a slightly different looking silver box apparently playing back HD content. I think the video also mentioned the HDPVR product that was just discussed here recently. So far googling "MediaMVP-HD" just turns up more German content, such as this article: http://www.golem.de/0903/65670.html which has a bunch of pictures of the device. They appear to be describing it as a prototype. You can also extract a few keywords: Sigma-Chip, Linux, UPnP-Client, MP3, WAV, H.264, DivX 5+6, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, JPEG, BMP, 256 MByte RAM w/1080i, 512 MByte RAM w/1080p (Pro version), H.264, 802.11n, 802.11g, HDMI, component, Composite-Video, S-Video, S/PDIF, USB 2.0. If it is just another Sigma designs box, and Sigma doesn't change their stance towards open source, the Hauppauge box may not accomplish all that much. And of particular interest, the last paragraph translates as (thanks Google): The MediaMVP HD (1080i, without WLAN) could be the Hauppauge-chief that in June 2009 for around 100 euros on the market. The MediaMVP Pro HD (1080p, 802.11n) is expected to cost around 200 euros. An infrared remote control is always included.
