A heck of a lot can be done with the PCH (I made a post on the developers list a couple of days ago) it's just that it hasn't happened you can't blame Sigma for that and Syabas will assist to some extent. Debian is even running on it, If Hauppauge is as open I will be very pleased. As for source Hauppauge did not/cannot provide the core IBM drivers for the MVP and so they are still distributed as binaries, but look what has been achieved.
