Interestingly you get no errors at all when the NFS playback stops.

It ceases playback with no further messages. However, the progress
indicator shows that it does continue to advance through the recording
- even pressing 1..9 or skip forward/back has the expected effect on
the progress indicator, it's just that no more sound comes out of the
device unless you stop playback of the file and restart it.
