In this case, the problem is probably incompatibility with MythTV 0.22 as Michael points out, but in general, please refer to the setup instructions on the wiki: http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/Live+TV Prerequisites The Live TV feature depends on a direct connection to the MythTV database on your MythTV server. The Commercial Skip feature describes how to enable database access. It also requires that the time on your MVP is properly set.
