There are 2 possible problems.

Either the bit rate is too high, and that is causing issues, or the 
audio is AC3 and not mp2, the AC3 audio is less well supported and I 
have never quite had it work right.

The data streams that come directly off of the digital channels are 
not exactly right for mvpmc, all of the HD stuff has too high of 
resolution to display, and all of the digital stuff typically has 
audio that won't exactly work right.

I transcode my digital streams down to normal stuff that the mvpmc 
will work with, this is done via a user job in mythtv, and takes about 
1/2 of the runtime on a 7750 Athlon for 1080i hd -> 480p conversion.
