Hi,

Buying a STB based a just a chip seems risky. However this year has
been pretty exciting with news of embedded alternatives to
off-the-shelf PC's for light weight clients. Beagleboards,
Pandaboards, and several other/ Marvell/TI ARM dev boards and kits are
available at very reasonable prices. In fact I've been debating over
which to buy for a few months. There are tons of Android TV boxes
too, just waiting for Jon's new Android library, almost too many to
choose.

Today this tiny device showed up in my news feeds
http://www.solid-run.com/products/cubox and it really looks
interesting and maybe a lot of fun. If the XBMC ffmpeg port is good,
a lot of hard work has been done.
