Thank you so much, I was successful! In the backup folder I found three current files and I picked the one with the timestamp from around when it happened and the formatting came back. A little surprising that it is stored within the data file. That is why I did not know what to do to regain my settings; I had thought it is stored in some other program file like an ini (old days).

I also increased the backup to 5 current files :D and I exported my formatting right away - that is a pretty nifty way to apply one's formatting to a new file.

In my testing I was struggling a bit with that computed score for tasks, so I would like to ask how I best could accomplish the weights for the tasks. I thought those sliders in the computed score would set the priority, but I seem to miss several points here (please bear with me, I really struggle here with both the concept and understanding it in a foreign language).

I would like to prioritize mainly through urgency, then by importance since my tasks rarely have any due dates. But it does not seem to work, when I look at the computed score for tasks with high importance and urgency.
Does anyone have maybe an example of how they're using the computed score along with the sliders?

All the best,

Brienne

I think probably the settings are saved with the data file, rather than for all of MLO. Did you try re-opening your old file, I presume, and it didn't work? Anyway, look in the directory that your data file is stored in, and there should be files with the extension ".bak". Move them to a new name and give them the .ml extension and see what happens when you open them.

Good evening,

unfortunately I had a very unpleasant problem with MLO:
Trying to learn more about the program, I saved my own file and opened a blank new file to test some stuff that I read up in the manual.
There I detected that all (!) my conditional formatting was reset. I am *certain* I did not click that as I had not been in the settings at all.

I know there is a autobackup function running in MLO - could some kind soul please advice me how I could best get my formats back? I am uncertain how to restore the backup.

Thank you in advance,

Brienne
