Whilst the Public beta is a considerable improvement over earlier priviate betas in avoiding accidental changes to the view associated with a workspace, the simply 'I forgot to switch tabs before changing view' possibility remains and I have certainly done this. For me, a better option than locking a view to a tab is being able to set a view/zoom combination as the default for a tab with the option (associated with a hotkey) to restore that default view at any time. The reason for this is that I do sometimes want to change a view normally associated with a particular tab - in particular to switch to the To Do view to see where a particular task is appearing in the view and then switch back again to my original view. The default mechanism I have described will a) allow me to do this quickly without having to dismiss a warning; and b) (and more importantly) allows me to set up a custom view on a particular workspace (eg filtering by a particular contex) without needing to create a new named view and then 'save it' as the default view for that tab and c) allows me to to get back to my custom view (including zooms) with a single keystroke.
