It sounds like James is talking about a whole different issue where the task that has started in the next 7 days does not show up at all in the 7day view. It doesn't because the due date is more that 7 days away, but James is saying that it should show up because it needs to be worked on within the next 7 days.

Hello James. So, if a task starts on the coming Monday and is due on the Wednesday, are you expecting to see the same task listed in all of the groups under the heading’s Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday? If that’s what you’re expecting, I’m sorry that the view won’t show you that. Each task will only be shown once in a date-sorted list. By default, the “due next 7 days” view has the tasks sorted and grouped by due date. If you want to see them listed under the start date, you can edit the filter to sort and group your tasks by start date. However you can’t show a task multiple times, grouped under its start date, due date and every day in between.

On the iOS version (and probably the Android version) there’s a feature that might be closer to what you want. It’s called the “Today” view and the button for it sits just below the inbox button and the list of Outline views. It gives you trend lines showing the number of events and the number of active tasks on each day. If you tap on a point on the line, you get a list of the events and active tasks for that day. “Active” means a task which starts on/before and is due on/after that day. Is that useful for you? Who knows, it may be added to the desktop at some point, if enough people request it.

If I’ve misunderstood what you’re looking for, then my apologies.
