Follow-up Comment #4, bug #15136 (project mypaint):
Blending modes are great,even for minor touches at the final stage.
Maybe some of you see them as a final project stuff ar "retouching" colors
but can be used a lot even whe nwe are at the very first stages. So please
add them.i agree with Deevad. and also i have to say that GPS (gimp paint
studio) uses blend modes in some presets to make them more accurate and more
realistic behaviour.
