Indeed executing that code gives me a segfault too. I suppose there lies the
problem (pygtk maybe?) I'll have a look at which gtk-related packages have
different versions between testing and sid. Since squeeze is being freezed
now, the sid package won't enter automatically so someone will need to ask
for it. I'll make a bug report there once I find the culprit.
Even if it's appearently not a mypaint bug, would you keep this bug report
open a bit more, so I can post if I find a workaround?
