Follow-up Comment #4, bug #17904 (project mypaint):
I agree with Jonner. I don't think anyone wants to use both sides of the
screen at once for docks. Being able to move the docking area should be
enough.
Perhaps someone with multiple monitors would like such a feature. I'm not
sure.
Someone with a narrow screen... Since the docks can be rolled up, it's
possible for a horizontal docking area at the top of the screen to be
practical.
I hope this isn't turning into a giant mess. Now we're starting to move into
the world of arbitrary UIs. Once you start down that path, you can easily end
up with an other-worldy interface that no one quite knows how to use.
