Is this still happening with the latest git master? Looks like some oddity
with how GTK is reporting monitor sizes to us - was your right-hand monitor a
secondary in that screenshot?
They're all supposed to appear on the same monitor too. So that. Even so, if
your main window is appearing at nearly the full size of your first monitor
(minus some borders), it can at least figure out some of the dimensions of
your displays.
FWIW the code doesn't make any assumptions about monitors being aligned. I
think perhaps we could try to be less "clever" with out-of-box initial window
placement though, given that we don't show the subwindows by default any more.
